All those three-year-olds are subsidizing executives!

The Ryanair CEO has talked about his hopes of charging for checked luggage, but this hasn't happened yet. Plus, there is EasyJet, so you aren't limited for choice.

All speculation aside, I'd buy my ticket now from Rome to London, as it's unlikely to get cheaper. I chose EasyJet for my January trip, because the times of the flights were a little better for me. I have taken two flights on each of Ryanair and EasyJet, and the experience was approximately equivalent despite the different airports, etc. In general you get from Point A to Point B with minimal difficulty and what more can you want?.
