Cheapest way from Granada to Paris in Sept?

Hello all:

I am trying to figure out the best way to get from Granada to Paris towards the beginning of September. All ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

designwright,

Your best bet is probably to take the bus from Granada to Malaga (takes 2 hours, runs hourly), transfer to the airport bus and fly on Air Europa from Malaga to Paris Orly.

Bus schedules from Granada to Malaga:
www.continental.es

Flights:
www.air-europa.com

Hope this helps,
Andre

Designwright,

Just checked fares on Air Europa and they're quite high actually... cheapest I could find in September was EUR 140 all in. The fare is only available for a round trip, so be sure to enter a return date (I would leave at least a week between both legs). You would just throw out the unused Paris-Granada leg.

Hope this helps,
Andre

Is the train a good option?

In a nutshell, NO! You would have to take the normal Talgo train from Granada to Madrid, then the night train from Madrid to Granada.

Total journey time would be OVER 24 HOURS and the trip would involve a 5 hour layover in Madrid.

Cost would be EUR 28.50 for Granada-Madrid, then EUR 112 for the night train, and that's just for a reclining seat! You'd have to pay me to do that ;-)

Hope this helps,
Andre

Oops, obviously, the first paragraph should have read:

"You would have to take the normal Talgo train from Granada to Madrid, then the night train from Madrid to Paris."
