How about places in the 15th arrondissement? Specifically, near Charles Michel metro stop. Thanks.

At Charles Michels, there is a Kayser bakery right next to the metro and also one of the best Monoprix in Paris. Also tons of Iranian delis, since all of the apartment towers there are known as "Little Tehran."

Just posted about the Chartier on another thread - yes, it may have a large tourist clientele, but so do many other restaurants in Paris. There is one Parisian who has eaten there every night (and sat in the same chair) for thirty years. It's not to everyone's tastes i guess, but it is fun.
