Cheapest Flight to Ireland?
I'm wondering if anyone has found tickets to Ireland from the U.S. for the summer that were cheaper than $450. If so, on what airline/through what website/when? Thanks!
I've noticed ads in the Boston newspaper for what seemed like very cheap flights on Aer Lingus. Can't quote you figures but you could look online in the Boston Globe (try Sunday's travel section) or just go to Aer Lingus website.
Go to Aerlingus.com. They have some great spring and summer rates from New York, Boston and Chicago, especially before June 15.
OOPS! You asked for rates below $450 and the roundtrip fares on Aer Lingus start at $245 each way.
Thanks! In general do you think $450 is a deal?
For the summer? Yes, it's a very good deal.
Depends on which month -- if you're talking July and can get $450 (including fees and taxes), I'd be tempted. My daughter caught a one-day price dip to $475 for July and felt lucky; it was up to $675 the next day. (This was Delta, not Aer Lingus.) Airline prices are pretty volatile right now...
Yes, for August. OK, I'll try to buy it if it's still available. Thanks for the help!

Just in case this helps anyone else, the tix I booked were on Delta, nonstop from JFK to Shannon and then returning from Dublin to JFK, for $450 everything included.
Delta was having a sale for travel around Memorial Day. I think, but I'm not sure, that the sale expired yesterday. I have a flight CLT-ATL-DUB and back for $419 including all of the BS fees.

(and that's not an April Fool's joke either! 8-) )
