Cheapest flight from Toronto to Athens in May?

I saw someone else post this for Canada to Florence so thought I would give it a try. So far the best deal I can get is 1350.(!) per person Toronto to Athens with 1 stop on Air Canada. I thought about using Zoom to London and Easy Jet to Athens but I don't think Zoom arrives at the same airport that Easy Jet uses. I also tried Expedia but no significant savings. Any other ideas?

Hi

What are your departure and return dates? Check out Air Transat - http://www.airtransat.ca. It will get you to Gatwick airport by the looks of it. Let us know how you fared. Good luck. :)

I've also flown out of Buffalo to Europe. Check that out. Also, people here seem to like kayak.com for comparing flights.

EasyJet does have London Gatwick to Athens flights, and Zoom lands at Gatwick. But I'd never do a tight connection with Zoom and EasyJet, because the possibility for missing one or the other flight is too great, and the expense would be too costly (for me anyway). I'd do this if willing to take a brief visit to London. If you're doing a brief visit anyway, then any of EasyJet's flights to Athens from any of its London airports would work.

You can also take Zoom to Paris, although the EasyJet flight there does leave out of a different Paris airport.

Dates, Lily, give me dates

Aramis Nov 22nd, 2007 03:29 PM

$1125 US

May 15 - 29
1 stop in Milan

Aramis Nov 22nd, 2007 03:38 PM

$605 - 670 US to London on most Wednesdays for two weeks and then $275 to Athens on Alitalia with a stop in Rome or Milan, or $ 351 non-stop on Olympic

All through Heathrow.

That would be $956 US - $1001 US and you could take some time in London at either end.

Wow thanks everyone! Major savings can be had with all this valuable advice. Looks like I'd be best to spend some time in London which suits me. Thanks again.
