Cheapest deals to Europe - from Pacific North West

What is the best air fare anyone got from Pacific North West, outbound anytime between 20th - 27th of Dec. and return trip after Jan 4 or Jan 9...? The best fares I am getting from www.kayak.com or expedia is around $600(including taxes).

Thank you very much for everyone.

Have you looked at Northwest fares to Amsterdam?

You may want to go to SAS and look at their holiday sale. http://campaign.scandinavian.net/christmas2004/us/

The SAS sale only works for certain dates from January to March, though, not for dates leaving in December.

Thanks WillTravel..
I looked at it. Cheapest I got is around $600. Just want to make sure that I am not spending too much for the ticket during the winter time.

You could have gotten a ticket for under $500 a few weeks ago for those dates. Try setting up a Deal Detector on Orbitz for three possible itineraries. That will help.

Use the fare searches on Yahoo, Travelocity, or (actually) British Airways, which will show you fares by travel periods (some days higher, others lower.) $600 seems to be the number right about now.

However, American Airlines just published killer transcon fares for 2 pers. traveling together - $160 RT SEA-JFK, then you could probably put something together ex-JFK for under $400, so all in you could save a few bucks in the process, albeit with lots more buytt-in-seat hours as FFers refer to them.

Dec. 25 to Jan. 10 for SEA-AMS gets you $533/ticket on Hotwire. You might be able to find a cheaper combo.

But - you did say you wanted to go to Italy or Paris on another thread, I think. So are you interested in the AMS fares?

I am willing to travel either to Paris or to Italy, wherever I get cheaper fares.

Once again, thanks for all your input and help

p.s. You might be able to get a good deal with BA too. We flew Sea-London-Malaga RT last year for $449 RT.

I just bought a ticket to Paris for February from Seattle. I got the SAS fare and the best my agent could get me was 591.00 incl. tax. Before I bought I checked w/another consolidator, w/SAS and on Expedia, couldn't get less then the 591. NWA would have gotten me to Paris for 500, but that's through their website not Expedia ( douldn't take the flight). I don't think you'll find cheaper then 600 to Italy unless maybe, theres a last minute special fare and you'd need to be checking the sites daily.
