Cheaper to Rome from IAD or WAS?

Is there usually much difference in price to fly from Washington National or Dulles to Rome or should I always check both?

You can get a direct flight from Dulles, but I don't think you can from Reagan National.

Check Kayak.com. They can give you some prices and comparisons by just plugging in your dates and airport of choice. ((b))

Of course.

Also check BWI.

I agree. You might find yourself flying to Chicago, Boston, New York, or Philadalphia, but you could save money.

Leonora- inputting "WAS" as your originating airport will take care of all 3 of the area airports (DCA, IAD, BWI) and check for the best fare between the three.

"WAS" is not, obviously, the 3 letter designator for "DCA" -Washington National

There are no direct international flights from DCA.
