Cheap Traveling in Spain
Hey I am going to be in traveling to Spain all through the month of Spain. I was wondering if anyone knew of some cool off the beaten path of things to do or see. not really concerned about where they are in Spain.

The month of Spain?
|
hahaha whoops i meant september
|
Have you been to any of the places on the beaten path?
|
I have plans to see some stuff that I know I need to see, however I don't want that to be the only thing that I see while I am over there. I would like to see things that are not as common amongst normal travelers

It would help to know your interests.
One place we loved that most people don't go is Merida - which has incredible Roman ruins and is a charming city. If you are headed to the south go beyond the typical Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Ronda and Marbella or Malaga. We've visited Jerez and Cadiz and loved them. Ubeda also has a fascinating center. Part of this depends on how you will travel - we were driving on both trips - which made getting a little bit off the standard tourist trail easier. |
The fiesta de Santa Tecla in Tarragona.
It goes for 10 days and it is incredible. This is the "big day" of the fiesta - scroll around to check out things on the other days. http://www.tarragonablog.com/2013/09...-2013-day-ten/ |
The Gallego coast including the The Rías Baixas and Altas including A Costa da Morte are quite beautiful.

Skip Malaga and Madrid. Toledo was a very awesome and cute place. I lived in Sevilla and it's one of my favorite cities. Granada is too unique to pass up. Cadiz and Jerez are nice side trips while in Andalucia but nothing crazy to see--just the Spanish experience. Cordoba is also a very nice unique and culturally rich city. Buenos suerte :)

Do you want off the beaten path or cheap travel? Cheap travel does not always take you to places off the beaten path.
