Cheap traveling in Germany (Hamburg Airport-Clausthal Zellerfeld)

Hello guys!

I will be traveling from Hamburg Airport to Clausthal Zellerfeld in Germany on 15th April and returning back on 23rd April. I am looking for cheap traveling options to and from Airport to Clausthal. Can anyone suggest me cheaper options excluding car pooling or blablacar?

Kind Regards
Kamal

Try the bus - would be torture with all the getting on and off. I would be inclined to take the train myself, even if slightly more expensive. This website allows you to compare options and rough costings:

Have you checked www.bahn.de? You can do it by train / bus from as little as EUR39. Plug in your dates and come back here if there's a problem

The train is the way to go, although the last bit will have to be by bus because Clausthal has no railway line. If you use local and regional trains, the cheapest option is the Niedersachsen-Ticket (which is also valid in Hamburg), a day pass for 22 € for one person. Valid after 9 a.m. on weekdays, all day on weekends.

Look up train connections on www.bahn.de, and tick "only local transport" to find connections this ticket is valid for.
