it depends when you are going.
if you are going in july or august,
it sounds fine; however, we purchased
tickets in the spring for $450 and friends purchased theirs for $350 (usd-
east coast - and 1 layover).

<<Best deal is £59.95>>

Nope. Virgin-express.com is cheaper than that. 65.00 EUR

Must be booked by 31/07. Fly before 29/08.

By the way, in what country is $800 from? Australia? Canada?
Try bidding on Priceline, but check out www.biddingfortravel.com first. Also, you can get the $10 bonus money to bid on your ticket by hyperlinking to Priceline through the Bidding for Travel and Smarter Living websites. Just keep in mind, that you most likely will not get a non-stop flight.

Hi Gollum,

We tried for along time to find cheap flights to Italy in September and after trying all of the usual suspects (Orbitz, Travelocity etc) we couldn't find anything for less than $900. Then I kept researching and happened to find the site Travel Select and found that it has the most incredible fares! Apparently it only does travel to Europe and is a UK based company so that is why I never heard of it. Any ways, we got tickets for about $600 (on Lufthansa) and couldn't believe our luck. I just checked flights to Rome in sept from NY and they look to be about $500. Good luck and I hope this helps. Also, their rental car prices are incredible as well.
