cheap Seville / Cordoba Hotels

Hi, Now that I've found cheap airfares, I'm looking for hotels or hostels on a budget. I usually use the room only for sleep and would rather spend $ elsewhere.

Any recommendations (with website and prices) for hotels in Seville and Cordoba. I'm looking for a single rm with bath.

Thanks in advance.

Also, is 2 day in Seville and 1 day in Cordoba enough to cover the major sites?

One day ought to do it in Cordoba.

How much it will cost will depend on when you are there.

I stayed at the Hotel Maimonides 15 (!) years ago; it's across the street from the Mezquita, which is <b>the</b> thing to see in Cordoba.

There are some very inexpensive rates on the Web site:

If you want to spend some of the money you have saved on an excellent meal, go to El Caballo Rojo, also a few yards from the Mezquita.

Thanks for your info.

BTW, I was hoping for rooms under 50 euros.

Hi

In Seville try - http://www.sevilla5.com/hotels/hostal-zahira.html#price. Other choices on http://www.sevilla5.com.

In Cordoba - http://www.hotel-boston.com/index.html or http://www.hotelmaestre.com.

Cheers

In Seville, I'm staying in May at the Hotel Simon, which looks within your budget for a single. It lists a single between 45-55 Euro/night.

Check http://www.madridman.com (which also has recommendations for elsewhere in Spain) for budget recommendations. I think you are looking particularly for &quot;hostals&quot; (note the &quot;a&quot;), which are like pensiones.

For clean, no-frills lodging in Seville, look at Hotel Londres. It is near the Fine Arts Museum, and an easy walk to the Cathedral-Alcazar area or to Triana.
I think we paid about 65E for a double last spring (but twice that for one night during Feria!). The only drawback I found was not much help from desk staff.
I'm not sure if they have a website, but you can find them through venere.com:
