I don't know how much you want to pay, and I have only stayed at the Millenium Hotel which I would highly recommend, and is next to a train station.
That is priced at $138 (£75) per room per night on those dates through www.expedia.com Premierlodge and Travelodge hotels are always a good option at £49.95 per room per night, I've used them both in other parts of the country and they are always nice, clean rooms. I think the difference with the Premierlodge is that they have a restaurant attached. Premierlodge has an offer on up to April with lots of half price rooms, but I think that applies only to weekend nights, still maybe you could get one night half price. You would need the Glasgow Central hotels so as not to be too far out. There seemed to be problems with the Premierlodge site earlier so I couldn't check the availability. www.premierlodge.co.uk www.travelodge.co.uk |
You could look at hostel reviews at
http://www.bugeurope.com . You could stay at a university hall: http://www.venuemasters.com/holiday_search.asp (This was posted by another poster here a few weeks ago.) |
Hi Marissa,
Here are some more budget chains to consider, all of which have premises in or around the City Centre; Jury's Inn - www.jurysdoyle.com Travel Inn - www.travelinn.co.uk City Inn - www.cityinn.com Holiday Inn Express - www.hiexpress.com Tulip Inn - www.tulipinnglasgow.co.uk I'll let you draw your own conclusions re rooms, facilities & prices etc. but based purely on location I would put the Travel Inn & the Holiday Inn Theatreland at the top of the list. The City Inn & Tulip Inn are maybe just a little bit too far out, but the others (including those suggested by Angel UK) would be OK. Hope this helps, Jim |
There are some additions to Angel's list that i can add when I get home.

There's also the Ibis and Novotel hotels - they're next door to each other (the Ibis is cheaper - £46 per room per night for your dates).
I would have suggested the Youth Hostel in Park Terrace but it's closed for refurbishment until June |
Hi
We have used the Corus Hotel several times - has a good central location, about 5 mins walk from the station, and fairly cheap. Jury's is a good way out of town and more expensive. M |
Just as a follow-up to the above, the suggestions of Ibis, Novotel & Corus are all good calls.
Bear in mind, however, that while Morgana is right to say that Jury's Hotel is out of town & more expensive, the newly opened Jury's Inn (the same Company's "budget chain") is pretty central & the prices might be more to your liking - just make sure you choose the right option if you visit their website.
