cheap place in Rome for 5 people

Any ideas for a cheap hotel in Rome for 5 people? 2 adults and 3 kids. Thanks

We stayed at Hotel Des Artistes when in Rome with two teenage boys in 2003. A family room with queen bed and two twins. The room was large enough for a roll-away, although I think they had rooms for 5 as well. We paid $200. Also had a rooftop garden and airconditioning in the room.

Check out vrbo.com. listing no. 21717. Our family of 5 is staying there next month. One bedroom flat, sleeps 5, air conditioned, small kitchen, 130 euro a night.

MissyPie, I noticed that the apt. you stayed in is one I had bookmarked for our trip next year with our two teenage grandsons. Can you give some info about it? How convenient was the location, would there be enough room for two TALL teenagers and their grandparents, could you really cook simple evening meals, was the single bathroom a problem? I really liked the looks of it, and it seems the location was central. Were the owners easy to deal with? I'd appreciate any help!

My apologies! I just reread your message and noted that you're going NEXT month! So sorry. Anyway, please report back and let us know your experience with this apartment. Thanks.

There's not a lot of info out there on the apartment but there is one good review on Slow Travel.

Not a hotel, but an apartment we're staying in next month. http://tinyurl.com/qtwrx
It has 2 bedrooms, 5 single beds, 2 baths, kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. 500-650E/week. Lot's of great reviews. Might work for you? Good luck!
