Cheap Hotel near Gatewick Airport

Can anyone suggest a really cheap yet clean hotel/motel/B&B that is close to Gatewick Airport in London? I only need to stay for 1 night before I fly out of Gatewick the next day. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

There are two Premier Travel Inn motels in Crawley at £56 per night or one on site at £60 per night. You can view them on www.premiertravelinn.com

The above prices are very reasonable for the UK, especially within a radius of 5 miles from Gatwick.

We had a very good experience at Vulcan Lodge, a B&B in Horley-- five minutes from Gatwick. You can easily walk to restaurants in Horley. The website quotes 55 GBP for a double, en-suite.

Try the Gatwick Worth Hotel. You can get a rate of 45-49GBP and they provide transfers for just 3GBP 1 way ( free the other way). Website is www.gatwickworthhotel.com

Hi L,

How much is "cheap"?

I was hoping to find a simple, clean place near the arirport for no more than $50. I think I'm dreaming though.

You are looking for a £26 room. That is a pretty tall order. Even a Travel Inn is going to be more than twice that.

lilypoo and moonchild: You might have better luck if you search for Gatwick. I know google suggests the alternate spelling when there is a goof - but since you both used Gatewick, this might help you.
