Cheap hotel near Gare de Nord
 

I'll be in Paris for two nights in early April; I was hoping more seasoned Parisian travelers would have a recommendation for a really cheap ($100ish) hotel near Gare de Nord. I'm staying at a hostel in London (same trip), so I don't mind if the accommodations are quite basic.

Check the Accor and Ibis chains for hotels near Gare du Nord. My parents (they're frugal) stayed at the Quality Hotel Gare du Nord a few months ago.

Several years ago I stayed in New Hotel Paris. It is a 2* with air conditioning. You may not need it in April. It is directly across the street from Gare Du Nord. newhotelparis.com

2-star Hotel Kuntz is surprisingly quiet, friendly manager speaks good English. In between Est and Nord stations, a bit closer to Est.
