Cheap flights within Europe
Can anyone tell me how to find flights within Europe? I have looked at Easyjet, but it does not fly where I need to go. Looking for Zurich to Rome. What other airlines operate within Europe?
Thanks for youR help! |

1. Go to destination airport website
2. Look up "arrivals" or "flight schedules" In the case of an intended flight to a multi-airport city from a single-airport one (such as your plan) go to the departure airport website. Most self-styled "universal" websites either miss out legacy airlines (in the often mistaken belief that they'll be dearer than low costs) or low-cost ones. My suggestion has the great flaw that it doesn't work with airports a hundred miles or so away from the town it's sometimes misleadingly claimed to serve (like Bergamo for Milan). Most travellers find this a blessing. |
Here is another low cost airline website I have used: http://www.low-cost-airline-guide.com/

While this site does not cover the major airlines, it is fairly comprehensive for the discount airlines:

Thank you all!

skyscanner.net may help too.

Check out Ryan Air.

Be careful with some of the low cost airlines if you have checked baggage - the charges will mount up!
sometimes flying with BA or Lufthansa still comes in cheap with no baggage charges. Checking opodo.co.uk and lastminute.com Swiss air flies directly between Zurich and Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino. Looks like all other carriers are changing in Paris (Air France, alitalia) |
What flanner and plastic_paddy said..
When searching for a low-cost one-way flight between Barcelona and Lisbon in two months, the unexpected winner was Portugal's legacy carrier TAP for €45 all in, incl. 1 bag and snack. |
That is one great concept!
I definetely like the simplicity and easy usability. Many times I just like to get away if the price is right but find it tedious to deal with 3 or more low budget airlines' websites. |
