The following website list the lowest fares going out of Boston. Frequents checks should give you a good idea of price/destinations price fluctuations.
http://www.lowestfare.com/lowestfare...ls/boston.html

Icelandair, Aer Lingus, and TWA have good international prices out of Boston. Planning on Stockholm out of Boston next March; Frankfurt Sept 2K.

Lynn---- I just remembered about an option I heard about that you may want to consider. Is called to "hitch" a flight with Airhitch (www.airhitch.org). First, you register and prepay the flight, specifying your departure city, three acceptable destination cities in Europe (typical fare: $300 RT), and a "date range" of five or more days. Airhitch gives you a "call-in date," typically the Wednesday before your date range. When you call, the Airhitch office gives you a list of upcoming flights and your odds of getting a seat on each. For any flight that you like, you go to the airport a few hours before departure, where an Airhitch representative handles the boarding. Although it's essentially a standby process, Airhitch claims a high rate of success in getting travelers to their preferred destinations. If no flight meets your needs, I was told you can extend your date range.

The phone number for Airhitch in New York is (was?) 1-800-326-2009.

Has anybody ever used/tried them?

Try priceline.com-the only trick is they will only let you try once. Or try bucketshops, they seem to have the best prices.
