Cheap Clean Hotel

Hi, I'm planning on going to London, England in August for vacation. Besides myself there will be 3 other adults going. What I'm looking for is a cheap, clean, hotel with en-suite in central london, England. Will only be sleeping there so nothing fancy is needed. I finding it hard to find anything acceptable. Any help would be greatly appreciated, where coming from Canada.

Thank you kindly for any help, J. Bennett

Try searching on eurocheapo.com. Or familiarize yourself with Priceline and see if that might met your needs.

Good luck.

Since there are 4 people Priceline won;t work for them - unless they book 2 rooms - or have a couple of people sleep on the floor or in the bathtub.

Try the "search this forum" box, with cheap london hotel. You will find lots of old threads.

With four people, an apartment might be cost efficient. You can do a search here for previous recommendations, or ask for current ones.

There's the famous (?) easyhotel.com if you aren't too fussy about windows.

Hi benoilers,

Try the Travel House Hotels at Notting Hill. I stayed there last year and found it to be cheap (45 for a double room), clean, and convenient (half a block from the underground station).

Again thanks everyone...........slowly checking out the sites/hotels you all mentioned. One hotel I'm looking into is called the Windsor House Hotel in Earl's Court, I have read both good and bad reviews about this hotel. Can anyone tell me if they've stayed there and their experiences they may have had. I appreciate everyones suggestions.

Thanks again.

I originally had reservations for my family at the Rushmore for late August, but I read several reviews that said they often didn't honor their confirmations. I got nervous and decided I didn't want to spend an entire day while in London looking for another hotel. Then I got to wondering if we would need air conditioning (I see you're going in August), and several responded that we would. I finally made a reservation at Holiday Inn Mayfair - air conditioning and I felt more confident about them honoring booking.

What price range hotel are you looking for? I have been looking too and am amazed at the prices for some places that don't look too spiffy at all. Have you tried the London County Hall Travel Inn (I've heard it's clean, basic and reasonable) or the Hotel Ibis? If you want to spend a bit more, I've found the Holiday Inn Kensington or Jury's Kensington sound pretty good.

Hope this helps.

Hello all........thanks everyone. The price range I'm looking for is around £100.00 a night for 4 adults.

Thanks...........
