cheap airlines in europe

any preference on the following:

easy jet
myair
vueling
ryan air

I am trying to fly from JFK to CDG on American and then fly intra Europe... Has anyone flown from Beaujois in Paris? (I know I'm spelling this wrong but it's from memory, or Orly?)

Opinions welcome!

I haven't flown from Beauvais, but its main drawback is that it takes about 80 minutes by coach to get there from the edge of Paris.

Orly is a convenient 10-20 minute taxi ride from Montparnasse in Paris.

EasyJet is very good. I've had no problems with Ryanair in my limited experience. I can't say about the others.

It's Beauvais - and it's about an hour from Paris.

It's the main problem with Ryanair - some of the airports they use wouldn't be considered to be an airport for that city - eg "Frankfurt" Hahn, "Barcelona" Girona, "Barcelona" Reus, "Oslo" Torp. there's even a couple that aren't in the same country - "Vienna" Bratislava for example

As to which to pick - any of them, just check the price door to door rather than airport to airport, read their rules on check-in & luggage very carefully and especially with a certain Irish airline check the booking at every stage as they do have a habit of "helpfully" adding on optional fees then "helpfully" making it hard to remove them

Oh and don't make plans, generally if things go wrong it becomes your problem and even if they offer you a different flight it may be several days in the future - very important if you need to get home
