CHEAP AIRLINE TICKETS TO ITALY...HOW DO I FINE 'EM?
I'm going from NY to Venice in August. Then from Venice to Naples. Then leaving from Rome to go home. It all added up to about $1600 per ticket. Does anyone have any advice on how to get a decent fare? Maybe it's silly to not arrive and leave from the same city.
Thanks in advance for any help you may have.
Hi Molly! I don't think it's silly to arrive/leave from different cities. I'm flying from California to Paris via London, then leaving from Venice in August. My fare was $1200. I was upset when I found the same flight intinerary on Travelocity for $200 less. Sounds like you're spending some time in Venice. If so, the flight from Venice to Naples is probably tacking on an extra couple hundred. Maybe you could take the train to Naples instead of flying. Of course, flying is more convenient/fast.

See the thread a few above this one entitled, "Round Trip ticket Phila- Milan $315 + tax!" If you can shift your itinerary a bit, you may be able to take advantage of a comparable fare.
