We are looking to travel from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam at the beginning of April (6 - 15 preferrably). I know that this is more of a peak season and we want to fly on the weekends, but the cheapest fare I have seen is $900. I keep waiting for some specials to come up but the time I would think is starting to get short. Does anyone know where to find the cheapest airfares?

Hi Ryan:
I got a relatively cheap fare in late May from NYC. Are your travel days a little more flexible? Doing a search on Yahoo travel, I saw fares around the $650.00 range if you can change your flight days.
By doing that I got a cheap fare flying on Wednesday and returning the following Thursday.

My cousin flew last year from San Francisco to Amsterdam and found Martinair to be the cheapest so you might want to check them out. Also look at Bestfares.com for ideas.

Iceland Air is really low to AMS, but I don't think they fly out of SLC. If you can find a slip to one of the cities they fly out of it may be worth it. We got MSP to AMS this coming March/April for 2 for $569 roundtrip. Icelandair.com.

Try Southwest to BWI and then Iceland Air to Amsterdam. Right now Iceland has 2 for 1 specials and other cheap fares. Just booked them for June and they were several hundred dollars cheaper than the next lower fare.
