cheap airfare -rome to venice
I'm just getting acquainted with the marvels of this web-site as I've never been to Europe before. Anyways can you provide other inexpensive airlines,AND THEIR WEB-SITES,if possible, that would have flights from Rome to Venice, as Ryan's flight times don't meet our needs.
As well, any recommendations as to walking tour companies in Rome (with web-sites, if possible) would also be appreciated. Many thanks to all. |

Hi nev,
Try www.whichbudget.com. You might also want to consider taking the train. Schedules and prices at www.trenitalia.com/en. You don't have to get to/from the airport. Don't have to arrive early. No baggage restrictions. Center to Center travel. ((I)) |

Flying within Italy/Sicily only. Much like Ryanair. |
Neither Air Dolomiti nor Windjet fly Rome-Venice.

I'm doing the reverse (Venice to Rome) in March, and, having searched pretty much everywhere, have concluded that the only ways to go are the overnight train or Air One. Ryan Air lets you pick between those two cities, but never has any flights listed, so I don't know what the deal is with that. Air One seems to range from 75-100 Euros/person, the night train is cheaper.

<<I'm doing the reverse (Venice to Rome) in March...
Ryan Air lets you pick between those two cities, but never has any flights listed, so I don't know what the deal is with that.>> Ryanair starts its twice daily service from (Venice) Treviso to Rome Ciampino on April 28. There are seats available, once they start the flights. It isn't particularly easy to tell this on their website under "Book Now". Best wishes, Rex |
