can you give us an idea of what your budget is per night? Is this for one person or two?

Palazzo Bocci in Spello gets rave reviews on this board. Spello is a lovely hilltown, one of our favorites.

We stayed at www.sanpietroinvalle.com a couple of years ago and it was splendid. Can't wait to return.

Google up Locando Rosati, a few km south of Orvieto. Great rooms (maybe a dozen) and dinner with the host presiding (can't leave the table until the wine and grappa is gone). Great fun and I Sette Consoli is in Orvieto with the best food in Italy IMO.
