We finally made our decision. It's a smaller city, more of a town really, than we originally sought. Four weeks from today, we will spend our week in...Honfleur. We will be closer to Paris and Giverny than some of our other choices. We will be staying here (http://www.munroholidays.com/La_Mais...s_Primrose.htm) and are very excited about spending our week in such a charming city with plenty to do to keep us busy all week.

Thank you for posting your decision. So many people come here for advice and don't follow up. I have fond memories of Honfleur, even though I only spent a day there. I think you'll enjoy it. It looks like you choose a nice place. Have a great trip!

Good choice, I've spent weeks there on holiday and never ran out of things to do

I like Auch, 40 miles west of Toulouse. A fabulous cathedral; the Cathedrale Ste. Marie, good restaurants and just an overall nice, east vibe to the place. Also, Albi, 50 miles northeast is one of my small town favorites; the Cathedrale Ste. Cecile, the Toulouse-Latrec musuem and great open air markets.

Honfleur is lovely! We stayed 3 nights and could easily have stayed longer. Lovely town and much to explore in the region. Great choice!
