Tulip, yes, I will be in Vallaurus. Thanks for the tip on parking. I'm concerned about that in general. Can you usually find street parking or will we be paying a fortune in parking lots (on top of the rental car price)--still trying to decide on public transportation vs car for the coast.

AGM--I will be there the 4th thru 13th of June. I will definitely let you know what I find!

Patricia, I checked out your restaurant suggestions and they are exactly what I was looking for--as were all of the other suggestions--thank you, thank you everybody!

It seems that a challenge is that many restaurants are close for 2 days during the week so I have to plan accordingly in terms of where I will be for which night. Any tips or rules of thumb for this?

JES, it depends. We often find parking on the street for free. Sometimes you have to pay. In Antibes the large parking near the port is not expensive. In Cannes some garages are more expensive, but if you dont mind walking, park at the beginning of the Croisette, before you get to the Martinez hotel. Its free there. .
Free parking at Plage de la Garoupe in Cap d Antibes.
In Nice I have never found free parking.

Its not going to cost you a fortune, and places like Mougins are so much easier to visit with a car. And we are always there in July; busier than in June.

Great, that makes me feel much better about a car. Thanks so much for the tips on where the free spots are.
