Charles de Gaulle Airport Motorhome parking

We will be traveling in France with a Motorhome in September and October 2015. We need to meet and pickup family members at Charles de Gaulle Airport on Saturday 03 October. We have not travel with a motorhome in France before and need advice on the best meeting point that is accessible to a motorhome. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You are too long for the outdoor parking, and too high and long for the parking structures.

Hopefully someone can suggest a place nearby which your family can get to by public transport and you can meet them there.

Just found this, I don't know if it is of help: http://www.parkingsdeparis.com/EN/pa...itry-Mory.html

Are there two of you? If so, could one of you be dropped off to meet the incoming family members while the other stays with the motorhome, maybe circling?

It might be best to park in one of the outdoor long term lots even if you are not staying long term. Then you can take the CDGVal free shuttle to the terminals to pick up your family. If somebody says that the vehicle is 'too long' I'm sure they will understand when you explain what you are doing.

Rules are made for a purpose, I don't know what there is to understand about "our vehicle is larger than allowed, but we wanted to park here anyway to pick someone up." Why would they say, oh, okay, so you really want to park here, anyway, even if your vehicle is larger than the marked space.

This place would be legal, probably same thing mentioned above

<<The FlyPark Roissy-CDG Mitry-Mory car park
Located next to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport, this car park is both reasonable and safe (gates, digital lock, video surveillance, and many services on offer: toilets, rest room, free shuttle to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle air terminal and public transport towards Paris (RER, Roissy Bus...). You can safely leave your camper-van (maximum height accepted: 3.60m, maximum length: 10m), for one or several days, time to explore Paris using public transport accessible from Roissy-CDG airport. Cheap prices. Several places available. This car park is extremely easy to access from the North (A1) Motorway, from the N2 and from the East (A4) Motorway.>>

Yes Christina, that is the one I linked to. The car parks at the airport accept shorter vans, but charge for two places. They do not accept longer vans/motorhomes, so there is no point in trying.

Driving around while one person meets the rest is not going to be fun, and could be more expenisive than parking, plus you then have to be able to safely pull teh vehicle over for you family to get in, which wouldn't be easy.

The FlyPark offers a free transfer to the airport, so you have the choice of going in to meet you family or just telling them where to meet the transfer bus and them come out to you - you can have the coffee brewing ready :).
