Planning a trip for mid-June. Any recommendations for a good restaurant serving local foods? Is the tunnel still closed to cars and buses forcing a drive-around after the cable car ride?

The tunnel is still closed.

Try "l'Atmosphere" for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the regional food, particularly the Raclette, along with a good wine from the Savoie.

A second vote for l'Atmosphere. Sit in the room along the river. The food was great!
