Chamonix in June

There are 2 of us in our late 20s - we will be spending a night in Annecy, and then Chamonix for 2 nights, before moving on to Geneva. We will not be driving.

From Annecy to Chamonix, have come across Ouibus, which takes only over 1.5 hours. There is also the train SNCF - which has two changes at La Roche Sur Foron and then Saint Gervais Les Bains - that takes over 2 hours. Is Ouibus reputable? Is the train or bus recommended, given that the tickets for train are almost 5 times that of the bus?

Are there any reputable companies to book bus services from Chamonix to Geneva?

Lastly, during our 2 days in Chamonix, we intend to take the Montenvers train, as well as the Aiguille du Midi cable car. However, we are also extremely interested in wildlife, and would love to visit the Parc de Merlet - what is the best way to get there by public transport? We are staying right in the centre of Chamonix near the gondola station.

Appreciate any comments and suggestions.

For Annecy-Chamonix, yes, take the bus: Ouibus is perfectly reputable and will be more comfortable than a trip with two changes - even though the last train leg St Gervais-Chamonix is scenic.
For Chamonix-Geneva, Flixbus plies the route and is also reputable. There may be others I don't know of. By train, it is currently a mess and will remain so for a little bit until a new France-Switzerland rail link opens - there is construction at present.
