Chamonix at night
 

what would you do in Chamonix from evening until around midnight?
we plan to take the night bus from Chamonix to Paris (please, let's not open this for debate). the bus departs at 00:30.
I wonder what can we do to pass the time until midnight on that day, assuming we'll be back from hiking around early evening.
our hotel's checkout is in the morning and we don't intend on booking an extra night just for those few hours.

any ideas?

Perhaps visit the casino and play the 0.20€ slot machines? I doubt that you would last for hours, but it would kill part of the waiting time.
