CGD to Avignon
 

Hello,

I've scoured the scnf and tgv website for trains on sept 5th going to from cgd to avignon and I've found that it takes three connections. A previous post shows that it is possible. Am I missing something?

Possibly your problem is picking the wrong Avignon station as your destination? I believe it's the TGV that's direct and the TGV station is different than the other Avignon stations. I think the CDG TGV staion is #95 and the Aviginon is #84.

My quick look at the sncf site shows that you can choose direct TGV service from CDG to the Avignon TGV station, TGV service from CDG to Lyon and then from Lyon to Avignon, or a combination of TGV service and slower trains where you would end up at the Avignon Centre station rather than the TGV station.

There is direct TGV service and it is often. Try looking for RoissyCDG or vice versa.

Maybe I wasn't clear in the first post.

My flight arrives via American to terminal 2 at charles de gaulle aiport. I was hoping to then make a train to Avignon for a few days in Provence. Everytime I enter the following, I get this message:

Departure: CDG AIRPORT (95)
Destination:AVIGNON TGV (84)

Your journey is not sold on the site because it requires more than 3 changes, please ask at the station.

Is it still possible?

U need to put the following in as your departure for it to work:

AIRPORT CDG 2 TGV
