C'est So Paris! Cop the Parisian Attitude...

I hadn't noticed that this website had been posted on Fodors yet, but I got a good laugh out of it, so thought others might find it amusing. Who says the French don't have a sense of humor -- this is apparently an official website of the Ile de France tourism office, showing you photos of some of the "best known Parisian gestures" and saying you can "blend in by using them the next time you're in Paris". They have a contest where you can send in photos of yourself making stereotypical Parisian gestures also, which I was interested in as it says the winner gets a grand prize as a tour of Paris, but then found out it was just a local Cityrama day tour.

well, the website is funny and has some interesting things on it, otherwise, FWIW

I can see it now: a bunch of contest winners on that same tour bus making the gestures continually as they are driven all over Paris.

What fun!

Who says the French don't have a sense of humor

Nobody, I'd have thought.
I find French humour quirky and delightful.

La moue ... yes, I'd say I've seen that expression the odd time, lol.

I'm working on the Bof; I might need it when I'm in Paris next month.

Perhaps it is the people pretending to be French who don't have one.
