Cephas House Kinsale B&B
Husband and I going to be in Kinsale March 18&19
Wondering if anybody has an opinion on this B&B, or any other for that matter. Note to Bill; I read your Ireland 2003 report, very informative and good reading, I noticed you stayed at Cephas house, but didn't say anything about it....is this good or bad? Much appreciate any response. Regards, |
Hi jewing, Sorry I can't help you with your B&B info but was wondering where you read Bill's Ireland report? Where can I find this?
Thanks. |
Here is one of Bill's trip reports: http://www.geocities.com/obeirne_ireland_2003. He has one prior to this, I'm at work and can't look for the link, though. (Maybe the same, try 2002 instead?) We pretty much followed his trip around the northwest of Ireland last April, and had a terrific journey!

Hi guys. Thanks for the kind words. As for the Cephas House, I thought it was very nice and would definitely stay there again. I like that it wasn't right in town, so it was a bit quieter than places we stayed in town before. It seemed like it would be a long walk to town from there, but we accomplished it on foot easily and it was a nice walk (uphill) after a night in the pubs. The walk was good to clear the Guinness fog from my brain (it might have been Murphy's actually). My guess was about a 10 minute walk. The owner of the B&B will give you a map to help you find your way in.
By the way, ask for the room with the balcony. The view from there (which is the picture on my webpage where I mentioned Cephas House) is beautiful. Hope this helps! Bill |
Thanks Bill;
I have requested the room with Balcony and it is available, so will be booking it today. I've got to say that reading your posts and your 2003 Ireland report are the best information I have come across. It's nice that people like you take the time to inform all of us neophytes. Regards, |
Ahhh, you'll be a pro in no time and probably as addicted as I am to the place. My wife is forcing me to go elsewhere this year (but not too far away - SW England and Wales) and I'll probably weep as we fly over the little island.
I'm glad I was able to help. Bill |
