Centrally located Normandy hotel

Can enyone recommend a nice hotel in the
Normandy Region. Rather than hotel hop,
we would like to stay in one hotel and branch out from there. We will be there
in Mid-June. Thanks!

Currently looking for one myself. So no recommendations - but evidently it needs to be in Bayeux for WWII stuff!

Chateau d'Argouges in Bayeux. Renovated (17th Cent.?) manor house in town but set back from the road and therefore quiet. Very friendly staff.

Hello dg:

We stayed at La Cheneviere, one of the slh, in Port en Bessin near Bayeax, for 5 days in November. Great location for the beaches etc.. Quiet chateau with great staff and excellent restaurant. Gradyghost

We enjoyed staying in the Normandy countryside and making trips out to Caen, Arromanches, honfleur, Bayeux, the beaches along with enjoying the small interior Norman towns. Nothing is that far ..I presume you will have a car.

We really enjoyed Bayeux as a place to stay and recommend the Hotel d'Argouges in town. It is quiet, charming and reasonable. Bayeux is a charming town; be sure to see the tapestry.
