Look, I was just quoting them and gave the authors due credit by posting the whole reference. This is standard procedure in academic life, it is not stealing nor doing anything ilegal, for goodness' sake!!!!

This (semantic) point may be resolved in the minds of a number of the "partcipants" - - but seems to me that there is a noun: censor, which may indeed be an "official" (at least historically), and in a broad sense of the word, presently... and there is a verb: censor, which a lot of different people (not necessarily official) can do - - if I am carrying a picket or placard, and someone (doesn't matter who) knocks it out of my hands, I am "censored" by that person.

The fairly simple analogy is judge: as a noun, an official - - and as a verb, practiced by many - - and virtually the "official sport" of this forum!
