Cell Phone Purchase at CDG
Hello all,
I know there was a thread some time ago about buying a cell phone on arrival at CDG, but of course the Fodor's search engine won't let me find it. Does anyone know where, exactly, to do this? A friend's daughter is leaving for Paris tonight and wants to buy a cell phone immediately on arrival. No need to speculate why or even whether that's a good idea - I just need the info as soon as possible. Thanks, as always. |

don't have the answer. I know there are better experts, however, they might be checked out for the day. I did find these links. Admittedly, I didn't read all the details, but there is some info. It looks like you need to use their car service for the second one. And the first, you need to reserve in advance, so I don't know if she has time ?

I remember reading recently about BIC pay as you go phones that you could buy at CDG. Don't remember if there was a specific place at the airport. Seems they were also available at shops around town.
Hope this helps. kay |
If she can live without a cell phone until she gets into Paris, we thought Virgin had pretty good deals on pay-as-you-go phones.
We got ours at their store in Toulouse last summer, I don't remember the exact price. Top-ups could be purchased at virtually any tabac. |
There's a Virgin boutique in pretty well every terminal at CDG. She should be aboe to get a Pay-as-you-go phone at one of them. rob |
