Celebration of Queen Mother's Birthday??

My three sisters and I will be visitng London and
area the first 2 weeks of August and would like to
know if the Queen Mother still makes an appearance
at Clarence House on her birthday (August 4), if so
does the celebration begin at 11:00 a.m. as I viewed
in a documentary about her last year? Can someone
help?

Not sure about the Queen Mum, but the Queen's birthday is in May.

Elizabeth, the Queen Mother did appear outside her residence at Clarence House last year, despite having been released from the hospital only a few days before. Next year (2002) will depend on her health at the time.

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother always makes an appearance outside Clarence House every birthday. She accepts a posey (small bouquet) from some children and takes a salute. But she will be 102 this year so it does get harder and harder for her. She seems to have bounced back well from her leg problems.

pippie: Queen Elizabeth's "official" birthday celebration is in June when they do the Trooping of the Color. This year wil be special since it is her golden jubilee.

Just noticed that pippie topped a question from 1997 (1997, for Pete's sake!). So our answers won't be much help to Elizabeth
