CDGVAL--Who has used it?
I was thrilled to add Travelnut's link to my favorites (http://www.easycdg.com/pages/indexpag.html)
but I was wondering what the experience has been like on the link from Terminal 1 to the TGV station yet. I'm landing at 7:45 a.m. and am wondering if I can make a 9:41 TGV to Brussels. Thanks. |
We used it in April, from Paris on the RER-B to the station for T-1. The ride onward to T-1 was very smooth and convenient. I think that website indicates the frequency - we didn't wait more than 5 minutes.
Do you already have your TGV ticket? That would be good to avoid having to wait in the ticket office line. It seems like you have enough connecting time. |
Thank you Travelnut. I was waiting to buy the tickets once I was sure the timing would work.

I've never connected to the TGV at CDG... I guess it takes maybe an hour to go thru Passport control, get bags, and be ready to move out. Does the CDGVAL web say how long the service takes between T-1 and T-2/TGV?...
|
I'm not seeing timing for that portion of the shuttle, Travelnut, although I'll check again. The new website does indicate the walking time inside Terminal 2, but that's all I'm seeing right now. I'll go back and check again (have been tied up trying to get TGV tickets to print!)
We will be doing carry-on only, so I'm hoping to avoid that part of the exit tasks. |
That website says there's a train (CDGVAL) every 4-5 minutes and
Journey time is 8 minutes (Terminal 1 < > Terminal 2). |
Boy, you're good!

Hello...
We used it about three weeks ago between Terminal 1 (US Airways) and the RER B (Roissypole). It's wonderful. SS |
