CDG to St.Lazare
I'll be arriving this week at CDG around 9:20 am (hopefully on time!) and need to get to St. Lazare for a train to Rouen leaving at 12:40. Normally I've been able to take the Air France Bus when arriving in Paris, as it's so easy and convenient.. I love it.
Any suggestions on how I should get to the station? I suppose a taxi would be safest timewise, but I'm really cheap when it comes to taking taxis! I'll be arriving at Terminal 2A. I remember some years ago finding my way to the RER (with a little trouble, as it was my first time at CDG). The ride was fine, though. Does it make sense to do that, then taxi from Gare du Nord stop to St. Lazare? I'm not sure I would have time to do the Air France Bus to Gare de Lyon, and then a taxi. I have a feeling that you all are going to say "take a taxi, period!" |
Take a taxi, period! :)

If you did take the RER to Gare du Nord, then the thing to do would be to take the 26 city bus to St Lazare. Exit at the front of the station, go left, and the stop is at the corner.
If a taxi is involved at all, I say take it from CDG. |
from one cheapie to another- please take a taxi- and right from CDG- just be sure to fix the price and any luggage handling before getting in! (I use the AF bus too)
|
Thanks for the input. So I'll just give in and take a taxi. And enjoy my splurge!

Or instead of bus Gare du Nord to Lazare - it's easy to transfer from RER B from the airport to RER E and the Magenta (sp?) station via a short corridor at Gare du Nord and a similar short passageway to St Lazare - all on one CDG-St Lazare ticket.

Forget about this fixing of prices for taxis. You pay the metered fare and 1€ per bag.

So...how much does a taxi cost from CDG to the Saint Lazare Station?
I heard it was 50 Euros....is that per person? There are two of us. $137.00 seems a bit much if it is 50 E each. Thanks for your help. |
No, it is not "per person." However, the RER ticket that would get you there faster than a taxi is 8.10€ "per person."

I don't know why noone has suggested the Roissy bus -just under an hr.(8.50E-pay the driver) which comes into Rue Scribe & it is
an easy walk. I took it this week to Saint Lazare w/no problems. |
For sheer speed, RER B to RER E can't be beaten - 48 minutes if you get on the 10h25 at T2.
