CDG to Place Vendome?
2 people...2 suitcases....wouldnt mind saving 40 to 50 eur if not to difficult or time consuming taking bus or RER. Any reccomendations please?

How about:
Air France bus to Etoile Line 1 metro (dir.: Chateau de Vincennes) to Tuileries stop, on rue de Rivoli -- 2 blocks on foot to Vendome |
Roissybus to Opéra.
Walk 3 minutes to Vendôme. |
I would not be very possible to save 40-50 euro by other methods, as you will have to pay for them, and the taxi fare is around 40-50 euro. YOu might save around 25-30 euro. It depends where on place Vendome, but if you do not intend to take a taxi from some metro or bus stop, but walk several blocks anyway (such as in above plan, which is one of several), you might as well just take the Roissy airport bus to the Opera Garnier and walk from there to place Vendome. It's only about two blocks from there and I think a little closer than any metro stop (such as Tuileries). I do not think you will walk that in 3 minutes, though.

Thanks for the quick responses.....We are staying at the Park Hyatt Place Vendome. Does the Roissy bus make many stops? If it will take an extra hour or more by bus it might not be worth it if the savings is 25 eur.

Roissybus is non-stop, and the trip takes 44 minutes. Here's a map to get you oriented:

Hi S,
>If it will take an extra hour or more by bus it might not be worth it if the savings is 25 eur.< see http://www.paris.org/Accueil/Airport/ ((I)) |
I should have mentioned that the Roissybus stop is on the southern tip of that little triangle just west of L'Opéra. You'll walk down Rue Auber and turn right onto R. de la Paix.
The fare is €8.30 |
Looks like you guys just showed me an easy way to save a few euros.Dont really see any reason not to go this way..seems pretty convienent. Many thanks
