CDG to Orly then to Tours

Again, I need your help. I am arriving early Saturday 9/26 morning in CDG. My daughter is arriving in Orly at 11:30. We want to meet and go by train to Tours. Since I get there before she does, I thought it might be easier for me to go to Orly. Is it difficult to get the train to Tours. Are there special rates, I am 60 and she is 24. My planning brain is no longer nimble. Thanks so much, Alma

From Orly airport the routing is not direct. You will have to take the RER to Bourg-la-Reine and change to the RER for Massy-Palaiseau or Verrières and there catch the TGV to Tours.

Meet at Gare Montparnasse, where the TGV departs from Paris to St. Pierre des Corps (Tours). There are direct Air France Coaches from both CDG and Orly to Montparnasse.

The standard 2nd class fare for the Paris Montparnasse to St-Pierre-des-Corps TGV is €38.40. Booked well in advance (up to three months allowed) at www.voyages-sncf.com), you can get PREM'S (discount) fares as low as €20. Leave France as the default country, do NOT choose cancellation insurance, and print your own tickets. Buy a separate ticket at Gare Montparnasse for the bus from St-Pierre-des-Corps to Tours Gare.

Your departure time choices are 13:55 and 15:15. If your daughter's plane arrives on time, you'll be able to catch the 13:55 TGV. However, since PREM'S are non-exchangeable and non-refundable, you could play it safe by booking standard tickets for 13:55 which you could exchange if need be or booking PREM'S for 15:15.

I have gone to the link and can not make it work for me. Do you know what I am doing wrong??

That is the correct link. First, click the Union Jack flag in the left bottom corner, then search for trains on your date.

The "print your own ticket" is really convenient. Don't worry that it will take 48 hours or more before the tickets are printable.

BTW, yesterday was 9/26. Not sure when you're actually going.
