CDG rental return, hotel and shuttle

We're spending out last night at the CDG Hilton (good bid on Priceline) in order to make an early morning flight. We won't arrive at the Hilton until late evening so there's no need to keep the car an extra day. . .or is there? My plan was to drop the car at the airport and take the shuttle to the hotel that evening and the shuttle back to the airport next morning. My logistical questions are. . .where is the AutoEurope return at CDG? I know they're a broker, but do all cars return to the same area? And can I find a shuttle near the car return area?

I believe that all the cars are returned to the same area, and it is all within the CDG complex. Just follow the signs. When I did it, it was a little stressful because we were held up by traffic jams due to a tremendous downpour. But it took about 10 minutes and I was on the shuttle to the airport. Your plan to drop off the car in the evening is the best, although I do not see why you would plan to be at the hotel only in the late evening. Your timing may be defined by the hours of the rental agency.

Most rental companies have multiple return sites at CDG. At least one at CDG1, and often 1 or 2 at CDG2.

The Hilton is adjacent to the CDGVAL station for Terminal 3. I'll use that instead of the waiting for the shuttle from Hilton, at least for the trip from terminal to hotel.

AutoEurope isn't a car rental company, it is a broker. So it does not rent cars nor do you return to them, they have no car rental office. Your contract will be with an actual rental car company, and that is where you must return it (whether Europcar or whatever).

The return is easy IF you know where to look for the sign! Most people are looking on the right..it is on the left! You are on a big upper oval and the cars are down in the center "hole". The rental reurn sign is on the left, and you will turn down into the "hole" on the left for rental return. The parking for them is there and offices right inside. It is easy, IF you know where to go!!
