CDG (Paris) to GAre St. Lazare...help

My hotel is near Gare St. Lazare/Opera Garnier...should I take the train to Gare de NOrd and then metro to that area?

Better ideas...anyone know how much a cab would be?

Your best bet probably is the Roissybus, which goes from CDG to Opera. It costs 8.50 euros, about the same as taking the RER in from the airport, and a lot less complicated. And way cheaper than a cab, which would cost more than 30 euros.

I have the same question. We'll be carrying 2 heavy pieces of luggage. Does the RER go to St Lazare station? Which is faster the bus or train (if there is one) Thansk

If you take the RER B from CDG to Gare du Nord, you can easily change to the RER E which goes from Gare du Nord to Saint Lazare in only one stop. Fare 8.10€

I would hope that your baggage would have wheels, because at Saint Lazare, there is an incredible network of tunnels, moving walkways, elevators, escalators -- but since Saint Lazare, Havre-Caumartin, Auber, Opera and Saint Augustin are all connected together, it sometimes seems that you are walking forever. However, there are so many possible exits that you have a good chance of popping up right in front of your hotel if you carefully study the exit diagrams.

With less luggage, the Roissybus might be a good option -- it goes to rue Auber, behind the opera.
