CDG Paris layover

I will be landing at CDG from the US on Delta. I have one hour and fifty minutes until my connecting flight takes off. Will I have to go through customs and border patrol at CDG or in Prague, my final destination? If in CDG, will one hour and 50 minutes until the next flight be enough time?

It will probably be enough, no you don't go through "customs", I don't know why people are so worried about such a non-event, even if it occurred, which it doesn't. Have you ever been to Europe? Customs isn't even noticeable in most airports, you don't go through it unless you are transporting unusual amounts of stuff for some reason (like for business).

yes, you will have your passport checked as you are arriving from the US into Europe. I do things like that all the time and have never had a problem making the connecting flight within an hour, whether in some other European airport or CDG, so I will think you'll make it. But CDG now has tons of different terminals, where are you arriving and where do you have to go to get the next flight?

What would you do if I said you might not make it since you already bought the ticket, apparently? I presume your flight to Prague is on the same ticket so Delta will be responsible for getting you there. I imagine it's Czech Air as I think they are a partner with Delta/AF.

As with many other posts of this type, two crucial items are missing.

1. Who is your CDG-Prague carrier?
2. Did you buy ticket as US-PRG as one ticket or did you buy US-CDG, CDG-PRG separately?

Customs, has to do with whether you need to retrieve luggage. This depends on answers to the above two questions.
Customs is the item many people come here with concern is a 5 seconds event if you nothing to declare. CDG is not a thrid-world airport where it takes several hours to go through customs.
What takes time for all is the passport control, verifying your right to entry. Customs has to do with what is in the luggage.

Ok, very helpful. The ticket is Delta for both legs of the flight. Air France is operating the second leg but I am just buying one ticket through Delta.

If you are on a single ticket, a 1+50 connection is not a lot of time but it´s done every day at CDG. Of course a late arriving transatlantic flight could put your Prague flight in jeopardy but it will be up to Air France to get you there on the next available flight (which may or may not be the next scheduled flight).

You do not pass Customs at CDG but you will go through Immigration and connecting passengers have a special line. Follow the signs for those with follow-on flights and do not exit with the Paris only passengers.

As long as your luggage is checked through you should beOK - unless for some reason your incoming flight is very late.

And yes, you go through Immigration at CDG since that is where you are entering Schengen; the flight from Paris to Prague is a domestic one. The only issue is how many international flights land at once and how long the line at Immigration may be.

Do find out your next gate in advance and the best route to get there quickly.
