CDG interterminal navette travel direction

I am looking at an itinerary with a 2hr15min layover at CDG. According to the CDG site, it will be a 2F to 2G transfer. 2G is in not in the usual terminal 2 cluster.

According to the CDG correspondance guide:

http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/f...espondance.htm

there is a navette connecting the terminals using navette #2. Does this navette travel directly from 2F to 2G?

Looking at the CDG map, I am suspecting that the navette from 2F goes first to 2D, 2B, 2A, 2C, and 2E before proceeding to 2G.

2:15 isn't bad even at CDG. I've made a 55-minute connection there (although my bags had a bit of time to see Paris before heading out on a later flight). Not sure if the "navette" runs in two directions.

The postings I have seen deal with shorter distance transfers such as 2E to 2F. 2G is located far away from the 2A-2F cluster.

Here's a graphic showing the route and times between stops. Yes, you'll be going the "long way around" to get to 2G, but you'll still have plenty of time - for the navette plus a cup of coffee.

How long does it take to walk from the 2F to 2E to catch a navette at 2E to goto 2G? I want to see if there is a faster way to do this in case my arrival into 2F is delayed. I am estimating 2F to 2G trip to be about 15-20min longer than a 2E to 2G trip.

Having done it now, this is how it works for a 2F to 2G transfer.

The signage has been excellent. There must be "2G" signs posted at every turn in 5ft or higher letters. If you follow the 2G sign from 2F, it leads you to the lower level passage to 2E. You climb up to the 2E level then catch the 2G Navette from the 2E terminal. 2G is a hinterland terminal that feels more like a make shift regional airport in a small town. There is only a few facilities and seems to be used only by Air France regional carrier called Britt Air but with Air France colored small planes. The only ATM available at 2G is HSBC. They don't announce gate numbers until 20min before departures.

The total time from getting off the door of the plane at 2F to the waiting lounge in 2G after passing through the 2G security check was 35min.
