CDG Hotel

I would like a good hotel near the CDG airport (with shuttle service) in the $100-150 range.
Thanks

There's an Ibis hotel right near the airport.

I have seen the hilton at 100 dollars on the weekend if you book well in advance.

We have stayed at the Novotel twice. It is very convenient to the terminals and the RER. Price was right--$125 a night.

Cheers,

Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn at CDG?

I love the Courtyard by Marriott, and have stayed there 3 times. It's fairly new, has lovely rooms, a beautiful lobby and good restaurant, and a shuttle to terminals. The internet prices (on Marriott site) are usually around your price range, depending on time of year. In October, I paid 109 euros for room.

We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott last year. It was wonderful.
They have a shuttle. I think there was a charge of 5 Euro per room to use it, though.

I stayed at the Sheraton right in the airport. It is super convenient. Roll your luggage from the hotel front desk to the airline check-in counter.

We just booked the Sheraton for one night in March. We will be returning from Provence via TGV. We thought that we could have one great dinner in Paris before departing the next day via AirFrance.

It killed me to book the rate of 250E/night, but you can't beat the convenience factor. The escalator from the TGV station takes you right up to the lobby of the Sheraton. We can sleep in the next morning and stroll to the AF check-in.

In October I spent one night at the Suitehotel CDG Paris Nord 2, rue de la belle Etoile 335. It cost about 95 Euros a night (mid-week).

It was the most funky hotel room I've ever seen. Huge: more of a suite than a room (hence the name of the hotel, I guess). Very modern. (I usually prefer old-fashioned hotels but even I liked this one). You can divide the room into sections with sliding partitions like they have in Japanese houses. I didn't bother with that, since I was on my own, but it was most impressive.

The shuttle bus to the airport leaves about every 20 minutes.

There are two other hotels right beside this one: Formula 1 (I think) and a Novotel. But I would definitely stay in the Suite hotel again. I fyou do a search on this forum, you'll find rave reviews for it.

Accor hotels runs the IBIS Novotel and cheaper CDG hotels (www.accorhotels.com); all have frequent shuttles to terminals. Or call their US reservation number: Resinter: 800-221-4542. Accor owns Red Roof Inns and Motel 6 in US - some of these places will give you a booklet listing all their European hotels.

Another vote for the Marriott Courtyard. Really pretty hotel, great beds, and our price in June for a double was $95. I kept calling back and finally got the rate lowered by an agent who called it a last minute drop in rate, or something like that. Very convenient to airport.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Roissy in July 2003. It was fine- large room with standard North American amenities and a free shuttle to the airport. I price it on the web first and then called the toll free number to book directly. It was inexpensive- about $85 UDS for a room with two double beds and our two kids under twelve ate for free or at a substantially reduced rate.
