CDG airport meeting place
I will be arriving CDG airport via American Airlines and my daughter and son-in-law will be arriving via United airlines. Could someone familiar with the airport suggest a good place for us to meet up?
It is my belief that American flies into terminal 2. I do not know what terminal United uses. Our flights are scheduled to land at approximately the same time. Thanks, |
Correct. UA uses Terminal 1, and AA uses terminal 2A. If you are planning to take the RER into Paris, then have them meet you at the RER station.

Thanks for the reply. Being prepared always makes traveling easier.

Meeting at the RER station is a good idea, but you will need to decide in advance WHICH RER station, CDG 1 or CDG 2 TGV. Station 2 is closest to Terminal 2 and is the end of the line. Station 1 is closest to Terminals 1 & 3 and is one stop closer to Paris.

I have read that there are two separate RER stations. The formal names of the stations are:
Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 1 and Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 2 / TGV bullet train The CDG 1 Station is near (but not a physical part of) Terminal 1, therefore the need for the shuttle bus. The CDG 2 Station is part of the Terminal 2 complex (Air France, SkyTeam and certain other airlines). No bus is needed as you can walk to the station from any part of Terminal 2 (moving sidewalks are available part of the way). If this is a true statement it would appear I could walk to the RER. If so does anyone know of a website that shows the lay out of this station so we could pick a meeting place? We will be taking a train to Lyon. Thanks __________________ |

www, adp.fr, the Aeroports de Paris Web site, is viewable in English (click on "English") in the upper right-hand corner of the home page). From there you can navigate to information about all the terminals, including shops, restaurants, etc. There are also maps.

Great advice. Thanks again. You have prevented us from ending up in two different train stations. Whew!

Who is arriving first? When we went last summer on American and another sister arriving on Delta, she simply met us at the meet and greet point outside the American "door". What if the plane is late and you are down at the train station? How will you check the monitors to know?
This has been discussed several times if you care to search. Here is one thread I posted: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34650895 |
