CBD OIl

I am traveling to the Czech Republic, Germany and France in August. I require CBD Oil to treat Trigeminal Neuralgia. CBD Oil is a derivative of the Cannabis plant. I have a letter from my doctor stating that this medication is required. Will there be a problem traveling to these countries?

Are you bringing it with you? Or you are asking about obtaining it in Europe?

Ditto for France and Germany.

If you're flying from the U.S., you can't take CBD oil on the plane, even in checked luggage.

I'd just take it in checked baggage - rare would be any checks for you upon arrival and once in Europe and if so with prescription not serious. There was a recent thread on this.

Great. Break federal laws. No biggie.

Good luck.

Actually, everyone who uses or sells or buys cannabis in states that allow MJ use/sales are violating federal law.

I believe there is a type of CBD that is derived from hemp and does not contain even the trace amounts of THC that the cannibis-based CBD contains. Perhaps that would solve your dilemma?

Probably still illegal for Feds.

Cannabis is hemp and I think that to be effective CBD oil necessarily contains 3-5% THC but not sure. But feds may not distinguish anyway. Yes I say just pack it carefully in checked luggage if it is essential to you and with prescription in Europe no one is going to bother with it in the rare case they inspect it. That is if that is the only way you can get CBD oil and really need it.

Discussion of CBD oils with and without THC - seems that could be a good solution IF hemp oils in general are OK with federal law and European countries' laws - can't see why not - just like many things made from hemp are - though growing hemp is still illegal in U.S. I believe.
