Cats In London Area??
 

My daughter absolutely loves the musical "Cats" but I haven't seen it listed on the UK Ticketmaster website. I've seen other shows listed as far out as next May but nothing for Cats...I have to assume it's not being performed in the London area but thought I'd check with the "experts". We will be in London March 26 thru April 3. Does anyone know of any performances of Cats anywhere near London?? I'd do a day trip somewhere if necessary.

Cats in London closed last year after running for years and years. As far as I know, it is not being performed anywhere else at the moment.

I phoned the managing company on 0044 20 7529 4300 and they told me that Cats is in in Leicester from 22 to 27 March. If you ask me in January I shall be glad to find you the names and e-mail addresses of the theatres. Leicester is two hours by train from London St Pancras, but the last trains south run early, so you will need a Saturday matinee. The site http://www.qjump.co.uk/ will tell you of cheap day return tickets, bought on online in advance. I am glad to give your daughter this good news.
