Casual, inexpensive Brasseries in Paris?

The all-day-and-night brasserie places are good for inexpensive sit-down meals...You can order what you want, without feeling that you should have 2 or 3 courses. They offer roast chicken/frites, mussels, seafood, omelets, large salads, etc. and any of those might cost 8-12Euro...My husband and I aren't foodies, and don't want to spend a lot to eat..We usually pay about 33-45Euro for a nice meal, glass of wine, soda, sharing a dessert sometimes.

Any suggestions of some places that fit the above bill? Where you can get something simple for about 20 euros pp?? We'll be staying in the 7th.

The Bouillon Chartie7 rue du Faubourg in the 9th, dates back from 1896.
makes up for the not so special food but good enough.

While not a brasserie, Lotus Blanc, 45 rue de Bourgogne (7th arr), is an excellent Vietnamese restaurant near the Rodin Museum, Very reasonable.

We stayed in the 7th a couple of times.. Went to Brasserie Ecole Militaire a few times, and thought their food was fine. I remember, between us, ordering things like moules, trout, "salade supreme", and so on. 'Way back in 1997, we went to Brasserie Suffren - that was perhaps our first 'real' experience of French dining. Tables very close, 'reserved' cards on the empty ones, and a very nice lady professor who kindly inquired about our trip so far and commented on some of the places we had seen. I have since seen that this is a popular brasserie and I have no idea these days what their prices are. Here is an article about them:

Brasserie Lipp, on the Left Bank opposite Cafe Flore. We have had lunch there the past two years and enjoyed. Our friends that live outside of Paris introduced us to this spot and we meet them there each summer.

My daughter and I stayed in the 7th this past March. We had a nice meal at La Terrasse Du 7eme at 2 Place de L’Ecole Militaire. We splurged that night and each had an order of escargot, she had quiche, I had a really good salad Nicoise, she had creme brulee and we had a carafe of wine. The bill was €56, a little more than you mentioned. But, if we hadn't both gotten the escargot, it would've been close!
