Castles to stay in while in Germany
 

Are there any Castles that anyone could recommend to stay in while visiting Heidelburg, Germany?

Are you wanting the castle near Heidelburg or are you doing other visiting?

We are staying at Schloss Sommersdorf in early October. It's in Sommersdorf, a VERY small village southeast of Heidelburg, at the intersection of the Romantic and Castle Roads. Glad to give a review when we return.

You might try the Schlosshotel auf der Burg Hischhorn in Hirschhorn, about 20km up the Neckar from Heidelberg. I've not stayed there, but have eaten in the restaurant. It's quite an impressive place high above the valley.
